چکیده
The relatively low solubility of cellulose in choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents (DESs) restricts their practical application the production industry. Here, was slightly oxidized into dialdehyde (DAC) at first, and then partial chemical bonding introduced to intensify dissolution process (choline chloride-resorcinol) DES. In this process, DES increased 10-fold, crystallinity decreased over 24% while oxidation level lower than 20%. An intensified hydrogen bond network revealed, which implied that components mainly acted as donor after dissolution. A new class containing thus preliminarily established. chains intensive also resulted an viscosity a conversion from Newtonian behavior non-Newtonian dissolved samples. phase transition behaviors samples were gradually converted crystallization cool crystallization. proposed performed strategy is novel scalable will open fresh perspective achieve higher efficient establish partially derivatized cellulose/DES system.

A series of choline chloride-based deep eutectic solvents (ChCl-DESs) were synthesized and characterized, and their performance in the dissolution of cellulose was investigated. The hydrogen-bond donors significantly (β-value) affected the properties of ChCl-DESs, causing differentiated dissolution performances. ChClimidazole (Im) showed the highest Hammett acidity function (1.869), hydrogen bo...
